Comfort Women and Japanese Government

One of the things that aids the recovery of rape victims is being believed.  To have the Japanese Government consider revisiting its 1995 apology for its wartime crimes against women in the form of enforced prostitution known as 'comfort women' is not only outrageous but damaging for those women who are still alive.
It is estimated that there were some 200 000 women affected.  Many of these will still be alive. To hear that the Japanese Government might deny the truth of their experiences will only cause them to relive some of their trauma.
