Travel bans on child sex offenders

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop will be given powers to stop convicted child sex offenders from travelling overseas. There are approximately 20 000 convicted child sex offenders in Australia and they have been free to travel overseas and offend in poor countries where children are often more easily accessed. This is a check on child sex tourism and is a move that should be applauded.
