Shot Pakistan Girl - Malala Yousafzai
Whilst we are immersed in our own struggles for better access to services for sexual assault and family violence victims, it is important to maintain a sense that we have come a long way even if there is a long way to go. Some fights have been won. No one argues children should not be educated. Fourteen year old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban for wanting to have an education. It is a barbaric, ignorant crime. There are 30 million girls world wide who are denied a primary education. We hope that this champion of education for women survives this cowardly attack.
